2027 Educational Tours: Sweden, Netherlands, Canada, and Norway

The new 2027 Educational Tours calendar: Piedmont’s wine country is getting ready to host high-level international professionals, sommeliers, and students for a 360° educational experience.

I Vini del Piemonte proudly announces the new 2027 Educational Tours calendar, a strategic and constantly growing format designed to bring the world to the Piedmontese hills to discover their wine excellence.

True immersive study trips, the Eductours are tailor-made to welcome carefully selected groups of wine industry professionals, sommeliers, students from prestigious academies, and great international wine enthusiasts to Piedmont.

During these stays, which usually last three to four days, delegations from key markets are guided through a 360-degree experience in the heart of Piedmont’s wine country. The format features a rich educational and networking schedule, organized down to the smallest detail: from technical masterclasses exploring appellations and terroirs, to direct visits to the wineries and vineyards, all the way to convivial moments. On these occasions, the great wines of our member producers meet local culinary traditions, creating evenings where lightheartedness and fun go hand in hand with continuous learning.

This is a unique opportunity to create direct synergies: for foreign guests, it is a precious chance for “in the field” training that is hard to replicate in a classroom, while for the Consortium’s wineries, it represents an exceptional commercial showcase to build human and business relationships with highly qualified contacts.

For the 2027 edition, our territories will host four exclusive events, created in collaboration with four outstanding institutions from Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, and Norway.

Here are the protagonists of the new Eductours:

Sweden: The Wine Hub | February 3 – 6, 2027

The calendar opens with the return to Piedmont of The Wine Hub, a modern Swedish center of excellence founded in 2021 and our historic partner. Accompanying the Scandinavian group will be CEO and founder Marika Wærn, alongside our wine communicator Sandro Minella. In addition to winery visits and tastings of the iconic wines of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato, this second edition of the tour features a major highlight: a masterclass entirely dedicated to the Verduno producers’ association, followed by an institutional dinner to delve deeper into this fascinating wine-producing reality.

The Netherlands: Amsterdam Wine Academy | March 17 – 20, 2027

In March, we will kick off a new strategic collaboration with the Amsterdam Wine Academy, a top-tier educational institute in the heart of the Dutch capital and an Official Provider for WSET and Wine Scholar Guild courses. Three days of full immersion featuring winery visits, masterclasses, and convivial dinners for Dutch representatives and students, accompanied by the school’s founders Fransje van Santen and Wouter Aalst, joined by our wine communicator Luca Eula. Building a bridge with this prestigious institution means tapping into a network of Dutch sommeliers and buyers, a market that is increasingly attentive to the many facets of Piedmontese wines.

Canada: This is Wine School | April 6 – 10, 2027

In the spring, the Eductours look overseas to launch an important partnership with This is Wine School, a dynamic Vancouver-based institution known for its fresh, inclusive, and high-quality approach (WSET certifications). Guided by Jenna Briscoe and Sandro Minella, the Canadian guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Piedmontese landscape and meet the producers. Among the scheduled winery visits, tastings, and convivial dinners, there will also be a special masterclass designed to present the Piedmontese appellations not directly covered during the winery visits, thus ensuring a comprehensive overview of the region.

The spring program will conclude in May with the arrival of the Norwegian delegation from the Oslo Wine School, a training center for beverage professionals and a discerning community in the Norwegian capital. In a highly dynamic market that is increasingly attentive to the sustainability and identity of Piedmontese wines, this collaboration represents a privileged promotional channel.
