The event for Dutch professionals, promoting the modernity and uniqueness of Piedmont wines with Fred Nijhuis, returns with three new food and wine appointments.
With a growing interest in Piedmont and its denominations registering in the Netherlands and, in parallel, an ever-increasing interest from the restaurant industry towards sustainable, organic products and plant-based cuisine, our Consortium has chosen to re-propose this year the I Vini del Piemonte & Contemporary Cuisine led by Fred Nijhuis with the aim of strengthening the positioning of our wines and Piedmontese companies on the Dutch market.
The series of four lunches, organized and coordinated by our Ambassador Fred Nijhuis, includes FOUR food and wine events between September 29th and October 2nd, 2025, in three leading contemporary cuisine restaurants and reserved for a group of 15 wine&food operators: chefs, sommeliers, restaurant managers, opinion leaders, and educators of interest to the imported companies, which will feature the pairing of 15 wines with 4-5 courses proposed by the guest chef.
This year, we are pleased to host the Associazione Verduno è Uno at the event, featuring one of FOURactivities dedicated to the Verduno DOC appellation and its associated producers.
The promotion of knowledge of our territories, the education of the restaurant world in the use and pairing of Piedmontese wines and the great pairing opportunities these offer, represents, in our opinion, the cornerstone for growth in value and the recognition of the high positioning of Piedmontese denominations. Knowledge and experimentation as a driving force to stimulate the inclusion of new types on the wine list through shared tasting and dynamic comparison.
The initiative is designed in particular for companies already present on the Dutch market, but open to all companies that wish to choose a new promotion format.
