Barolo & Friends Prague 2027 – 5th Edition

After the 2026 edition, the Consortium is ready to return to the strategic market of the Czech capital.

I Vini del Piemonte is pleased to announce the return of Barolo & Friends Prague to the Czech Republic on January 12th, 2027, for its fifth edition. This important event marks the consolidation of a special relationship with the Czech market.

Organized by I Vini del Piemonte, the event has become a key reference point for industry professionals and wine enthusiasts, dedicated to promoting the excellence of Piedmontese wines in the heart of the Czech Republic. Returning to Prague after the 2026 edition underlines the strategic importance of this market and the desire to strengthen the presence of Piedmont wines.

The initiative is designed both for wineries not yet represented in the market to create new business opportunities, and for those already present to consolidate their position. The event targets professionals in the wine & food sector, including importers, Ho.Re.Ca. operators, sommeliers, and specialized journalists, offering them a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the richness and diversity of Piedmont wines.

PROGRAM (to be finalized)

  • Producers’ seminar led by Michal Setka, introduced by I Vini del Piemonte

  • Trade Masterclass conducted by Michal Setka

  • Walk-around tasting reserved for trade operators, including wine importers and distributors, owners of specialized wine shops and retail, restaurant owners and/or wine advisors of qualified Italian and international restaurants, certified sommeliers, and specialized press

WHY THE CZECH REPUBLIC?

The Czech Republic continues to be a highly attractive market for Italian wines, with Italy leading as the main wine exporter, showing significant volumes and steadily increasing value. Growing demand for quality wines, an expanding economy, and a dynamic Ho.Re.Ca. sector—especially in Prague, supported by vibrant tourism—create an ideal environment for Piedmont wines.

Consumer interest in quality wines, with Barolo and Barbaresco leading the way, is steadily rising, and the openness toward other Piedmontese regional denominations is a very positive sign for the future of the market.
