An Alliance of Italian Excellence in the Capital of Taste

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the majesty of the Langhe and the volcanic elegance of Etna will meet in the heart of Paris for an exclusive event promoting the wines and territories, organized by I Vini del Piemonte and the Etna D.O.C. Wine Consortium, in collaboration with Strada del Barolo and grandi vini di Langa. Paris represents an exceptional opportunity for fine Italian wines, thanks to its deep food and wine culture, the excellence of its restaurant sector, the growing interest in the diversity of our products, and its strategic position as a hub for international wine tourism and investment.

The event, to be held at Pavillon Wagram, will be an unmissable occasion for importers, distributors, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and specialized press to deepen their knowledge of these two denominations of excellence and meet 30 wineries from both territories. This initiative represents an ideal bridge between two of Italy’s most fascinating and distinct wine regions. Barolo, with its complexity, structure, and longevity, is a sublime expression of the Nebbiolo grape and the Langa terroir, capable of recounting centuries of history and passion. Etna wines, on the other hand, carry the unique energy of the volcano, offering mineral profiles, freshness, and an unmistakable identity derived from native grapes like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante. The objective is twofold: on one hand, to enhance the richness and specificity of the individual terroirs, and on the other, to demonstrate the ability of Italian wines to present themselves united on the global stage, offering a message of quality, authenticity, and great potential.

To best explore the potential of the two territories, two masterclasses will be held: one dedicated to Etna and its facets, and the second a journey through Barolo’s MGA (Additional Geographical Mentions). Both will be led by Alexandre Fréguin – Best Sommelier UK 2018.

Following the walk-around tastings dedicated to the trade, the day will conclude with a press dinner at the Le Petit Sommelier restaurant in Montparnasse, a historic Parisian restaurant, hosted by Alexandre Fréguin – Best Sommelier UK 2018. Ente Fiera di Alba will sponsor the event by providing samples of White Alba Truffle for tasting during the evening’s press dinner.
