Four digital round tables aimed at influential Californian opinion leaders and an exclusive tasting on the occasion of the American Wine Society Annual Conference, dedicated to Piedmontese companies imported into the United States
We are proud to present the second edition of the “Opinion Leader Roundtable” with Deborah Parker Wong, journalist, wine communicator and Californian wine educator: an unmissable opportunity dedicated to Piedmontese wineries imported into the United States, to get in touch with important US influencers and opinion leaders of the sector.
Strengthened by the experience of the completely digital first edition, this year the activity will be hybrid with the involvement of 6-8 selected opinion leaders, who will be in presence, and a maximum of 3-4 producers, who will be remotely connected, for each session. Each company will have the opportunity to present two labels.
Each session consists of three parts:
1) BRIEF: one week before each roundtable, a virtual planning session will be held for producers to review key points and develop questions for the participating opinion leaders.
2) FACE-TO-FACE TASTING SESSION: the opinion leaders will dedicate 30 minutes to a professional tasting, a moment where it will possible to taste wines and prepare the questions to be addressed to the producers.
3) ROUND TABLE SESSION: at the established time, the producers will join the tasting for a round table that will last about one hour (10 minutes for each producer). This time will be used for an exchange between participants and producers as an important moment of discussion and dialogue on the subject.
The topics of the four meetings scheduled for 2022 will be (dates to be defined):

Also for 2022, we propose to imported companies to take part in another exclusive tasting that will be held on the occasion of the American Wine Society Annual Conference in Bellevue (Washington) and conducted by Deborah Parker Wong, between 27 and 29 October 2022, which was requested on the occasion of the American Wine Society Annual Conference in the state of Washington.
The American Wine Society is a non-profit organization active since 1967, founded as an association of amateurs and today has offices throughout the United States, including, among its members, many professionals and producers, becoming a promoter of culture and wine education through a dense calendar of initiatives.
The activity represents a further promotion opportunity for imported producers and will be aimed at an audience of about 80-100 wine enthusiasts and professionals, with an in-depth analysis of three of the most important red varieties from Piedmont: “Piemonte Show case: Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto”.
The event will be attended by 6 producers who will present one wine each.
