Considering the importance of the Swiss market for the Piedmontese producers, also in 2019 I Vini del Piemonte organized a promotional tour in Switzerland.

On Wednesday 8^th May 2019 there has been the third edition of the Barolo & Friends Event in Basel, a city located in one of the most productive and vibrant economical area of the Swiss Confederation. This area is very dynamic; the interest for the Piedmontese wines here is extremely high.

The event, organized in collaboration with the prestigious magazine Vinum, included a walk around tasting with a session reserved for sector operators (importers, Ho.Re.Ca, journalists, sommeliers, etc.) and a session open to final consumers. In addition, the session dedicated to trade has been enriched with two master classes held by Andrea Zarattini of WineZone.

Thursday, 9^th May 2019, thanks to the partnership sealed with Gambero Rosso, I Vini del Piemonte joined, as host region, the Zurich leg of Gambero Rosso Vini d’Italia Tour 2019 with a group of wine producing companies members of the consortium. I Vini del Piemonte had a dedicated space, with a counter for each producer, inside the walk around tasting addressed to trade operators, journalists and final consumers selected among the members of the local wine clubs.

Zurich is one among the most difficult and competitive cities, but it is also among the most strategic ones for the wine market. I Vini del Piemonte has decided to join the forces with an established and renowned brand like Gambero Rosso in order to create a truly effective initiative.
