26-27 November 2020: confirmed the third edition of Drink & Bite and the twelfth consecutive edition of Barolo&Frineds, the most important wine tasting event in DenmarkTickets
As every year, I Vini del Piemonte has scheduled several promotional initiatives in Denmark, strategic market where the consortium has been working with great success for 12 years, where the Italian wine is particularly known and loved. In fact, thanks to the constant growth in demand in the last ten years, Italy has become the main wine export, ahead of France.
Thursday 26 November 2020 the event “Drink&Bite: discover the Piedmontese taste!” come back to Copenhagen: a food&wine event conceived for a young public, who will have the opportunity to taste the wines of some producers from Piedmont matched with some Piedmont gastronomy delicacies.
On Friday 27 November 2020 Copenhagen will host the twelfth consecutive edition of the Barolo & Friends Event, the most important tasting event dedicated to wine of the entire Denmark, which, for years, has become the undisputed leading gathering point for Danish sector professionals and wine lovers. The event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, will take place, one more time, at Børsen, a seventeenth-century palace which was the historical seat of the Stock Exchange and is considered one of the most prestigious location of the Danish capital.
For this twelfth edition, more than 40 wine producers from the main wine-producing areas of Piedmont are awaited. The producers will attend this event in order to personally present their labels to sector professionals and wine lovers. For years, the Danes have shown to know and deeply love Piedmont, not only for its great wines but also as their favourite holiday destination.
One of the great innovations of the 2020 edition will be an in-depth focus about the white wines from Piemonte, thanks to the partnership with some important Piedmontese consortia, including the Consorzio Tutela Vini D.O.C. Caluso Carema Canavese and the Consorzio tutela vini Colli Tortonesi, which will be present in the walk around tasting and as part of two in-depth master classes.
In addition, there will be a room entirely dedicated to food products from all over Italy, where visitors can taste the flavors and aromas of the “Belpaese”!
As usual, the event will be divided into three different sessions, in the shape of a “walk around tasting”: the first will be reserved for sector operators, the other two will be open to the paying final consumers and a stay in the Langhe for two people will be awarded.
As part of the trade session there will also be three in-depth Master classes led by the renowned journalist Thomas Ilkjær: one of these will be dedicated to Nizza DOCG (100% Barbera grape variety) and will be organized in collaboration with the Associazione Produttori del Nizza and and the other two to the Piedmontese white grape varieties Arneis, Erbaluce, Cortese and Timorasso.
