After the success of the participation in the 2011 edition, the cooperation between the Consortium “I vini del Piemonte”, the Association “Strada del Barolo e Grandi vini di Langa” and the Nordic Wine Institute took place again.

At the wonderful location of the Grand Hotel of Stockholm, in an area reserved for Piedmont, the producers of wine and traditional products of the territory had the opportunity to introduce themselves to Swedish operators and tourists.

Italian Wine Days, organized for the eleventh consecutive year by the Nordic Wine Institute, is an important occasion to sell Piedmontese wines in Sweden: with a legislation based on state monopoly, the direct meeting with importers is a privileged channel to enter into business agreements.

Saturday 17th November
Open to public enthusiasts

1st session from 1.00pm to 3.00pm
2nd session from 4.30pm to 7.00pm
During the day, there was a contest with the possibility to win a weekend in the Langhe region.

Monday 19th November
Open to the sector professionals from 12.00am to 5.00pm

The workshop was dedicated to professionals (restaurateurs, sommeliers, journalists and shops of the monopoly) and allowed participants to get in touch with restaurateurs with license to import, and with monopoly representatives, who normally would be difficult to reach.  At 10.00am there was a seminar dedicated to Piedmontese wines, hosted by Jan Rosborn.

The participation in “Italian Wine Days” represents a new, important occasion to present Piedmontese wines and food products abroad: a not to be missed event if you consider the strategic function of the North European market, always fascinated by the Italian life style and in particular by its traditional products, above all wine.
